CASA of Trinity Valley volunteers, board members and staff gathered Tuesday, Dec. 12, at Athens Country Club to celebrate another year of advocacy for children in foster care. CASA advocates in Anderson, Cherokee and Henderson counties gave more than 5,800 hours and drove more than 100,000 miles in 2017 to help abused and neglected children make their way out of the overburdened child welfare system and into safe, permanent homes.
